Shoes. They do a girl good-pass it on!

Dear Christian Louboutin.

I love you.
I am but a lonely poor public education teacher. My truck is beat up, my dog is old, my husband got laid off, my mama got runned over by a damned ol-train. The rain makes my dog eat doors. I came home from a hard day of work to find my cat's white paws painted multi-neon colors, b/c my poor & restless husband decided to high-lite em, instead of looking for a job. I go to work wearing scrubs, and tennis shoes, and on most days my little autistic children out number me. My chest is killing me, my cats are killing me, my dog is killing me, and my favorite 2 shirts fell outta my suit case in San Diego. Oh! and I am allergic to bacon.

It would do my heart so good if you sent me: your Prive Peep Toe yellow Pumps

I'll take em in a size 7.

that is all.

Shoes make the world go round!

Okay So My 10 year High School Reunion is in September.
I am a bit of a success story, I have a college degree, I am a special Ed. teacher. I own my own home, my truck is paid off, I start my Masters degree this fall.

And yet, when I think about going back to that High School, to see the people I grew up with, I still feel like the awkward ugly teenager.

Geezzz....where do I begin?

So in an attempt to make me feel on the inside like I am on the outside. I spent waaay too much money on this beautiful dress. For me, it was love at first sight. I resisted for a bit to try it on, because I knew once I did I would talk myself into buying it.
The neck line makes my heart melt!

So the dying question is....what kind of shoe should I wear?

I had to put this picture up to make myself feel better!

Shoes bring meaning to a marriage!

I went to the store with full intentions of buying me some YELLOW SHOES on Monday! But when I got to the store I couldn't find anything cute. So instead I got a cute handbag, a new wallet, the new mp3 player Zune, and 2 new c.d's, a cute-cute summer dress, 2 pairs of linen capri pants, then another pair of capri pants, a bunch of work shirts, and tank tops....and some skivvies. .....teach Chad from telling me, "I can't get something-hmmm I showed him"

After stimulating the economy and some good ol fashion retial therapy, I was still annoyed about the yellow shoe incident. So I sent a message to my girlfriend, Becky. She responded by saying, "welcome to married life, we should go together...forgiveness is better than permission!" As soon as I read that text I was annoyed, I completely shut-down. Am I suppose to be the dutiful wife and ask permission on how to spend MY money? I have never-ever-ever seen a woman in my family ask their husband if they could GO buy something. I also grew up dirt poor, and I have been saving for 3 months to go on a big shopping spree. (it feels better when I can spend without worrying about money) All of my bills are paid for the month, and I am 3months ahead on my student loan payment.

So am I suppose to ask permission? I am not exactly the submissive type. But that text really bothers me.
Chad thinks it's because once upon a time, Becky wasn't the, "ask permission for shoes type either." It's odd almost all my friends are libra's ...we are the best dressed in the zodiac, we love clothes, shoes, handbags, shoes, accessories, shoes, and clothes, and shoes! They are also strong, intelligent, and fiercely independent. The first time someone says, we "cant" that is the first thing we are going to do. So I totally don't understand her comment.

So this permission matter (only in my head) became much bigger I ran into the computer room, "Chad, so do I have to get 'permission' before I buy anything? So are you my daddy or something?"
he looked at me like a deer in the head lights, "huh? What are you talking about?"
"The yellow shoes, I felt like I was asking permission like a little girl asking daddy for a new toy"
"You're still upset" he said in a puzzled tone, it kinda took me off guard , "about that? The only reason I said NO, is because I know you-and I know we would have been late to your dear friends wedding. I love you baby, but your time management skills suck"
"OH, so it had nothing to do with me getting your permission?"
"Why would I care about that?"

shoe shamed in every way!

I am suppose to be getting ready to attend a wedding. She is one of my longest friends, and I can't wait to get dressed up and look cute with my husband, but first I gotta make Chad all fidgety and worried that we will be running late b/c frankly he just annoyed me!
Actually, he shoe shamed me!

We spent the day at the book store (don't spend the day at the book store with 2coupons, 20% teacher discount, and no new books in my house to read, its like going grocery shopping hungry!)

We were driving back and I said, "hey, let's run by the shoe department so I can get some yellow shoes with my dress tonight!"
Then he said, "there is no running into a shoe store that will be quick for you"
And I said, "Well if I were going to look for pink shoes, then no. But I want yellow shoes, so that will narrow down the field"
He goes, "but you still can't run in and quickly get shoes"
I said starting to get annoyed, "I might stop and pet the pretty ones, but I'm looking for yellow cute heels, it will be quick"
"I don't think you know yourself as well you think you do!" (I hate when he says this line)
As we get to the entrance of my favorite shoe store I said, "so you are going to stop?"
He goes, "baby are you serious? You want to get shoes for a dress?"
I said, "umm yes, how else does it work? You buy a dress, then you buy shoes, or you see cute shoes that inspires you to buy a cute dress? Women do it everyday"

SILENCE!

Needless to say we drove straight home, in silence, without yellow shoes!
shoe shamed!
So tonight, I will be forced to wear a brown and yellow dress with boring ol' brown heels!!
