A week in pictures
My lavender is in full bloom! I love watching the bees and butterflies!
Thyme, chives, sage, rosemary, basil and of course lavender!!
One afternoon we sat outside on a breezy day, down wind from my herb patch, it was the best seat in in the yard.
So turns out, not working means I have energy to do stuff around the house. Nope, I didn't clean, don't be rash.......-I cooked, painted, and weeded!!
I planted my basil, and did a little barefoot weeding.
We made a half pepperoni (Chad's side) half artichoke, pepper goat cheese pizza! It was really good.
Chad is working on my beautiful roadside find!
I have been working in the kitchen, cooking!
Apricot/Mango sorbet
I did a little painting!
Calamity had the most important job of all, Holding down the couch!
Nacho cleaned her tail
(left)Apricot/blueberry, chocolate(right), & Mango/pineapple sherbet!
The ice bath (minus ice) for the buttered pecan custard! It curdled, but it did not affect the outcome of the ice cream! I made this for Chad, its his, "let me take care of you-while you are taking care of me....ice cream!" Plus, I loved the challenge of making it, and Chad loves having tons-of-ice cream around the house!!
Let me tell you, I love this ice cream machine! I keep waiting for Chad to tell me, "stop making ice cream!"
cream of potato & bacon soup!
This was the wine marinade I made for the pork loin!
mmm-wine & potato/corn stew! I used a red wine but after hours of cooking it, it turned sweet, It was goood!
well someone needed to hold down the floor!!
